motocross type handle bars on CTWednesday, November 12th, 2008 I have seen regular motocross bike handle bars on some of CTs in the gallery and I think i'd like to go that direction.

New to the boards and I am restoring/customizing a 1976 ct70. Have the orginal honda 72cc engine, which works, but I am looking for more power. Looking at the Lifan 138cc engines on ebay right now. From what I have read, I want the engine with the gears N1234 vs. 1N234 because the latter tends to slip into neutral when shifting. I also read that one is not a true 138cc but a 125cc??? From what I see on ebay, people are selling two types of 138cc Lifan engine. One is the 1P54FMI (which I believe is the 1N234) and the other is the 1P54FMJ (which I believe is the N1234)? Please correct me if I am wrong. Also, do you know any other differences between the two models? Is there any other reasons I should not run this engine? Right now, looks like the best price I found is around $410, however, this includes a 24mm Mikuni carb, oil cooler, intake manifold, shifter, kick starter, wiring harness, CDI, spark plug and ignition coil. This price includes $60 shipping, so the price of the actual engine/parts is $350. To summerize: 1. Difference between the 1P54FMI vs. 1P54FMJ. 2. Reasons I should/shouldn't go with the 138cc Lifan. 3. $410 all in = good price? Thanks again. Z50R bars on Z50?Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 I have a newbie question--will the bar/clamp assembly from a Z50R bolt onto forks of earlier model Z50 with the threaded clamp for pivoting the handlebars down.
Thanks CT110 partsMonday, November 10th, 2008 I have 2 questions:
1. Would CT110 footpegs fit on the Honda Nice 110 motor? 2. Would Honda CT110 rear shocks (OEM) bolt up to the CT70 frame and swingarm or are they too long? CR80 USD forks on CT 70Monday, November 10th, 2008 Sounds ambitious, Apparently they can be cut down which might mean they would suit the dynamics of the bike. With a plus 4cm swingarm I think this might work.
Anyone already beaten me to the punch and added CR80 USDs to their CT70? Anyone got any pics of such a conversion? Stock they are 275mm travel - those in the know think that CTs can do with 125mm travel. So they would need to be cut down. I just think it might make disk brakes etc easier to fit and I like fitting genuine Honda parts. I once modded my XR600 to USD status and well never stopped tinkering until I had electric start... [IMG] [/IMG]Will a Crf 50 Aftermarket exhaust fit the ct70?Saturday, November 8th, 2008 Will a Crf 50 Aftermarket exhaust fit the Ct70 Bikes?
I see a few pics of bikes on Ebay with what looks to be a crf50 exhaust with no modifications done to it to fit the ct70's. Just wondering if anyone here has used it? CT70 Headlight 12VTuesday, November 4th, 2008 Hi all!
I just put a 125CC 12v motor in my CT-70 1977 but now i need to change the front headlight for 12V. I was wondering where i could order one that could instant fit. I already got a 12v bulb. Thanks Which 88cc kit?Monday, November 3rd, 2008 I'm thinking about putting an 88cc kit in one of my bikes, TB has them, also Dratv has them too, they all range 300. to 450 dollars Whats everybody tried and what were the results? Thanks Grant:106:
ct70 to 110cc light conversion help needed!!Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 I have a 1974 CT70 that I put a 110 cc motor (from a Daymak Warrior pocket bike) into. I purchased a wiring harness conversion, got the bike running fine, but there is no connection for the lights. (I'd like to keep everything 6 volt) I want to get this bike registered, so the lights are required. Can anyone help? Any information or suggestions where I might find help are greatly appreciated.:yellow70:
