Just picked them upSaturday, August 28th, 2010 Attachment 7045Attachment 7044Just picked these up tonight, red one is build date of 2-72 with 1700 mi's. blue build date 9-69, just missed "silver", 5000 mi's. Both are locked, assumed from sitting in a barn under cover at least, for who knows how long. 72 has all parts and pieces other than side cover on air filter and looks like it will clean up easy. 69 is not quite as appealing to the eye, really cool bars huh, at least most of it is there and may eventually get going. best part I can't complain about the price, 75.00 for BOTH.
CT 70 NoobSaturday, August 28th, 2010 New guy here, I have had CT70s many years ago (45) and was talking to a guy about finding an older one for my granddaughter.
He just so happened to have a few that he was getting ready to part out. He had four he would let me have for $250. Well, now I have a truck load of what I hope will be at least one beater for her to learn on. Three are pretty complete (if you include the boxes of parts). Is there any one that may have more value that the others, or should I just get the best frame and start there? Serial numbers: 2324557 12/72 build 2107266 3/74 build 241023 1/71 build 2711015 6/71 build attached are a few pics. Thanks, Rick 1975 ????Saturday, August 21st, 2010 My wifes got a 1976 that i got her a few years back, the bike is all there and in good shape....the bike has been resto'd in the past but it was painted yellow....now that the KO is almost done, this will be my next project...a full resto in the original color.
I can't seem to find any detailed pics of a 1976.....if anyone has some they could post, it would be greatly appreciated. also, what is this bike called ? K? CYS Frames — PaintedFriday, August 20th, 2010 Attachment 6991The Candy Yellow Specials are painted . What do you think? Attachment 6990
KO almost doneFriday, August 20th, 2010 I still have to get the shields for the pipe and the correct seat, but so far I'm happy with the way she turned out....runs great, I'm still working on the lighting issue.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Aftermarket fork for ‘70 z50ak2Tuesday, August 17th, 2010 I have been browsing the CHP site for parts, and came upon an aftermarket fork with disc brake that acommodates the original wheel.
The listing shows for k3 models(swingarm), and i am interested in using the fork on my k2(hardtail) P867 ![]() Front end with disc brakes. 1/2" longer than stock, comes complete with front forks, extensions, billet hub, speed-o drive and cable, Disc Brake rotor, master cylinder and caliper , as well as a new steering bearings, races and headlight brackets. Nice solid construction, heavy duty brake components with high quality hub design for the 4-bolt Honda hub pattern used on the 1968 through 1978 Honda Z50. This is also the same bolt pattern as our Aluminum rim sets as well as kitaco. The headlight brackets are wider than your stock Z50 A K3-1978 , but we offer a headlight and speedo combination that you can purchase separately. 1973 - 1999, With mods on all XR50/CRF-50's $199.95 ![]() I am confused if this will fit mine, since some of the literature from the site suggests it will fit. I was in the process of placing my order when the sales rep wasn't sure, and the tech guy was unavailable. So, before i drop 200 bucks on this piece, is there a chance the header tube will fit the k2 frame? 1970 z50ak2 hardtail, 70cc cylinder, original crank and case, trail 70 exhaust, 20mm carb:red70: shop manualMonday, August 16th, 2010 i red in a thread that was a long time ago that someone said there was a shop manual on the website . can anyone tell me where to find it , if not can anyone tell me where to download for free for a 1976 ct 70?
1976 ct70Monday, August 16th, 2010 i have a 1976 ct70 with original blinkers that stick out and are in great shape.does this add value to the bike since if the bike was ever layed down the blinkers would be the first to break?
Seat coversWednesday, August 11th, 2010 has anyone purchased the $25 or so seat covers on ebay? If so, are they any good? I just want something that looks better than the worn, torn seat I have but I don't want a thin piece of junk that will tear apart in a year. Not looking for showroom restoration...
Danno’s CT70 ProjectTuesday, August 10th, 2010 Hey guys im an autobody guy from MN & stumbled across one of these bikes. after seeing all the goodies & endless possibilities I thought this would be a fun project
my bike is mostly stock & currently just fixing all the parts that have gone bad with nice aftermarket parts.. so far ive got the blinkers & taillight to work again, added coilovers with reservoirs & a TB exhaust system since the factory one had holes in it.. my plans are to make this bike pretty quick, will eventually go crazzy an put a 125 or higher engine in it.. if anyone has any input on modding it further please chime in, looking to get the most outta the stock motor until she blows & i have to upgrade :) ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking ~Dan |
